Become a Supporter
As the national peak body and membership organisation for sustainable and nature-based tourism, Ecotourism Australia’s objective is to promote and support the development of Australia’s ecotourism and sustainable tourism industry.
If you’re interested in sustainability and want to gain more knowledge, but don’t suit a certification program (or not ready for it), you can still benefit from connecting with Ecotourism Australia by becoming a Supporter Member.
There are three levels of Supporter Membership:

Individual Supporter
For any individual wanting to become a member of Ecotourism Australia.

+ Discounts for Ecotourism Australia specific events and benefits
- The use of our ‘Individual Supporter’ logo for marketing purposes
- Member recognition according to the Ecotourism Australia Constitution including voting rights at the Annual General Meeting and the right to nominate and/or stand for election to the Ecotourism Australia Board of Directors.
Cost: $265 (+GST) annually*

Business Supporter
For any tourism supply chain business wanting to become a member of Ecotourism Australia but is not suitable for one of the business certification programs.
- Annual access to a complimentary Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard^
- Access to exclusive Member & Business Support Services including:
+ Receive regular member-only communications
+ Access to our ECO Community support group
+ Access to our Careers & Business Opportunities page to post job listings
+ Discounts for Ecotourism Australia specific events
- The use of our ‘Business Supporter’ logo for marketing purposes
- Member recognition according to the Ecotourism Australia Constitution including voting rights at the annual General Meeting and the right to nominate and/or stand for election to the Ecotourism Australia Board of Directors.
^Upon completion of the Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard, Business Supporters will be entitled to promotional exposure through Ecotourism Australia’s communication channels.
Cost: $525 (+GST) annually*
This includes Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard valued at $275

Corporate Supporter – Local or Regional
For any Regional and Local Tourism Organisation or Industry Association wanting to become a member of Ecotourism Australia.
- Learn more about sustainability
- Receive data on sustainability trends in their region
- Develop industry sustainability capacity.
- Annual access to a complimentary Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard^
- Access to exclusive Member & Business Support Services including:

Corporate Supporter – State or National
For any State or National Tourism Organisation, Industry Association or Peak Body wanting to become a member of Ecotourism Australia.
- Quarterly 1:1 meetings with Ecotourism Australia to support your region’s sustainability goals
- Recognition of each other as Supporters on relevant communication material
- Receive data on sustainability trends in their region
- Develop industry sustainability capacity.
- Annual access to a complimentary Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard^
- Access to exclusive Member & Business Support Services including:
+ Receive regular member-only communications
+ Access to our ECO Community support group
+ Access to our Careers & Business Opportunities page to post job listings

*Prices are as of 1 July 2024 and are subject to change. Membership is renewed annually and aligned with the Financial Year, from July to June. If you register for membership part way through the financial year, your membership will still be due for renewal on the 30th of the June following your registration.

Are you a Certified Operator?
If you are a certified Tourism Operator with Ecotourism Australia, you automatically qualify for supporter benefits. One of the added bonuses to certification is that your products also feature on Ecotourism Australia’s dedicated travel destination website the Green Travel Guide.
Ecotourism Australia’s online search engine showcasing all our certified tourism operators and destinations.
Each operator receives a free listing with an opportunity to upgrade to a premium listing to maximise their reach.

I want to promote by business to certified operators, is membership the best option for me?
Supporter membership with Ecotourism Australia is about your own sustainability journey and introducing you to global standard sustainability principles. If you complete the Strive 4 Sustainability scorecard (included in all except individual supporter tier) and receive a score above 50%you will be entitled to promotional exposure through Ecotourism Australia’s communication channels which go to certified operators and a broader audience.
