The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is Australia’s online marketplace for tourism information. The ever-evolving ATDW-Online platform is a content tool for tourism operators and businesses to use to improve their digital presence.

ATDW collaborates closely with State and Territory tourism organisations and Tourism Australia, capitalising on mutual projects, harnessing resources, leveraging expertise, and gathering insights.

Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) partnered with Ecotourism Australia on the Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard to showcase sustainable tourism experiences on the ATDW online platform, building on the existing ECO Certification partnership. Highlighting Certification and Scorecard status on operators’ listings ensures that scorecard holders and certified operators are elevated as leaders in sustainable and ecotourism for distribution partners to publish.

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) is a not-for-profit, private sector, membership-based organisation representing the interests of Queensland’s tourism and hospitality industry.

Ecotourism Australia and Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) have agreed to formally recognise that their programs achieve equivalent standards across quality business management. The agreement recognises that equal standards in general business management are met across the Quality Tourism Accredited Business Program, ECO Certification, Respecting Our Culture Certification and Climate Action Certification.

Ecotourism Australia, in collaboration with the University of Queensland and Christmas Island Tourism, has secured Parks Australia funding to strengthen sustainability in the Indian Ocean Territories and the local economy, through collaborative world-class Ecotourism.

Included as part of the funding Chrismas Island tourism businesses are encourgaed to complete a free Strive for Sustainability Scorecard.

The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia’s leading research and teaching institutions.

The partnership between Ecotourism Australia and the University of Queensland creates mutual benefit by providing valuable knowledge sharing and forming a strong research base to understand current issues in tourism and sustainability to inform management options.

Ecotourism Australia, with the University of Queensland and Christmas Island Tourism, has secured Parks Australia funding to strengthen sustainability in the Indian Ocean Territories and the local economy. The project will run through until 31 May 2025.

Ecotourism Australia collaborate with most national park’s agencies across Australia including Parks Australia, Department of Biodiversity, Conservation & Attractions – Western Australia, National Parks South Australia, Parks Victoria, Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA).

Certified businesses and operators benefit from this relationship by being recognised and rewarded by receiving reduced licence and permit fees^.
